[Mesa-users] Obtaining non-constant luminosity during HB in low mass stars

Hi MESA community,

I'm evolving a 0.82 Msun star (Y = 0.248, Z = 0.001) to determine the times
in RGB and HB phases, and calculate the theoretical R parameter, for
different vales of the Reimers eta scaling factor. Currently I'm using the
new release r-10108, trying to eliminate the effect of the breathing pulses
via predictive_superad_thresh(1) and predictive_avoid_reversal(1).

As I increase the value of Reimers_scaling_factor, it appears that the
Luminosity is not constant anymore during the HB phase (defined as the
region with center_he4 values between 0.99 and 1d-7), but I don't know why
this is happening. I also observe some effects at the end of the HB that
seems like effects from breathing pulses, even if the code should have
prevented that vith the predicting mixing (is this assumption correct?).

I'm attaching the inlist used for a case of eta = 0.5, and a plot of the
magnitude vs time during the HB (script provided). I also see that the
V_Zahb that I get is quite higher than the one in line with Cassisi (also
the time in RGB).
