[Mesa-users] Magnetic field with MESA

Hello everybody,


I am doing a study on the rotation in M type stars with MESA, and I get the
following doubt that I am not able to resolve: I want to observe the effect
of the magnetic field during the evolution of the star and I dont know if
MESA calculates the magnetic field a from the speed of rotation and the
internal conditions of the star, or a certain value must be included
through a condition that I am not able to find. For the case of the
magnetic field, I think it is included following the Spruit-Tayler dynamo
model (see MESA Paxton article et al. 2013, section 6.2) that corresponds
to the option “am_nu_ST” of the inlist_project file, but I hoped that
someone could confirm me this. I would also like to know if there is any
way to obtain the value of the magnetic field in the output files.


Im running MESA 9575 with Ubuntu 16.04(64 bit)
