hi aite,

i'll take the first of your questions. mesa cannot be used to model
the detailed physics of binary black holes. in a binary model one can
use a point mass for one of the two stars and call it a "black hole"
but this approximation would be limited to the far-field gravitational effects.

a more fruitful, and hot, topic that mesa can certainly address is which 
single and binary stars become black hole.
