[mesa-users] Create pre-supernova model

Its hard to say what happened to your model as you haven't provided
details. How close are you to core collapse? You say its taking many
timesteps, so you need to look at whats limiting the timestep then match
that to the controls inlist parameter and adjust the required parameter to
get the model going.
As to why you don't get the same mass, they probably have different mass
loss rates. Have you tried the mesa 3 inlists? found here:
