Replying to get this back on mesa-users. Sorry about that.

Hi Bill,
thanks for the suggestion, I will try that as a start and see what the model output is.
Concerning the stop time, I could simply check when the RGB tip happens (approximately) and rerun the simulation with that as a stop time. This is very brutal but what I am in need of are a couple of profiles around the RGB tip to use as a start for a 3D hydro simulation. It is just a test at this stage.

Roberto

Hi Roberto,
Your requirements are very vague, so many test cases may suit your requirements. My first choice would be the 1M_pre_ms_to_wd, setting the initial mass to 2 instead of 1. You'll need to figure out how to stop evolution at the RGB tip, though.

Bill

Dear MESA users,
I want to run a stellar model from pre-main sequence to the RGB tip (initial mass 2Msun) without any particular specifics, very simple. The most standard parameters.
I would like to ask what would be a good test suite model to start from or what set of main parameters would you suggest.
Best regards,
Roberto
