Hi Lewis,

If this is right, how do I “./mk” for private file modifications?

You can rebuild a MESA module by, for example,

cd star
./mk
./export

this will bypass the usual test that is run when installing from the top
level.

After that step is successfully completed you have to relink your star
executable in star/work or wherever it is by running ./mk there, too.
