[mesa-users] Decoupling opacities and metallicity

Hi Ylva. A simple way to do that experiment is to use type2 opacities
fixing Zbase to a lower metallicity than your model actually has. The
difference between Zbase and the actual Z will be interpreted as CO
enhancement, so its not exactly the same as using the lower metallicity
tables though, but it should behave close to that. To force the model to
strictly use lower metallicity tables, you can use use_other_kap to call
the standard opacity routines but fixing the metallicity.
Can you share why you want to do this?
