[mesa-users] Extending MESA for mass-loss

Hi,

To tell mesa/star to use your routine, set 'use_other_wind' = .true. in the &controls section of your inlist, or set the wind scheme to 'other'.

During your initial debugging you will of course want to put write's in your other_wind routine to ensure that it is being called and to sanity check the values.

The Problem I'm encountering is that my wind routine doesn't seem to be operating, since the mass is staying constant throughout the evolution. I've attached my inlist files and run_star_extras.f . Have I misused the other_wind routine, or am I not calling it correctly into the code?

One of my problems is that I don't know what variable in star_def to use for time and Solar mass at that given time. Do you think this is the best approach toward implementing mass loss in this form for a 1-1.15M solar evolution model of the sun, or is there a better approach?
