[mesa-users] Extending MESA for mass-loss

Hello all,


    I'm currently working to implement an exponential mass loss function as  implemented in the LANL Stellar Pulsation Codes.( The function can be seen in the attached image.)


I believe this can be done through extending MESA. My current idea is to modify the other_winds subroutine in run_star_extras.f, as to create function for the value of 'w'. One of my problems is that I don't know what variable in star_def to use for time and Solar mass at that given time. Do you think this is the best approach toward implementing mass loss in this form for a 1-1.15M solar evolution model of the sun, or is there a better approach?
