[mesa-users] Discontinuity

Hi,

So I've been working on incorporating turnover time and stellar wind loss
into magnetic braking. The equation that I'm basing this work off of is
from the following paper:

in equation 16.

I've been able to add these additional scaling factors using the
"run_binary_extras.f" module which I've attached. The issue that I'm
running into is there are some discontinuities when calculating the
turnover time in these systems. I've attached a plot of turnover time in
relation to model number

Turnover time in this case only depends on convective velocity and the
radius of the convective zone. I do a quick check of the convective
velocity and radius of the convective zone using the profile.data files and
I can produce the following plots:

The convective velocity appears to remain largely the same, while the
radius shifts around 0.65 Rsun.

Does anyone have an insight on why there seems to be this sharp increase in
the on the turnover time? I believe it is tied to the change in the radius
of convective zone but it might be something else.
