  Thanks a lot for your reply!

  Yeah, I did now want to increase tau_factor because, when I was adding
accretion to my models afterwards, the initial convergence became
troublesome for long cooling times.

  The thing is that, unlike what happened in Bill's debugging guide, my
opacity profiles look quite smooth along the star (no bumps at all...). He
also suggested me to use something like that, so let's give it a try unless
someone knows for sure what is going on from the plots I attached.
