[mesa-users] How I change nuclear reaction rate and list of mesa?

So if you look in the same folder as the isotope.data file
($MESA_DIR/data/chem_data) there is a readme file that tells you the format:

name       A       Z    N     spin   mass_excess
      partition function coefficients for REACLIB

so the 8.071317673 mass excess and the next 24 numbers are for REACLIB

So split the ap into two letters a and p, then the first letter is an input
to the reaction and the second is an output, in this case we have a alpha
(a) particle in and a proton (p) out. The others are gamma rays (g) and
neutrons (n)

So some examples:
r_he3_ag_be7
is
he3+alpha -> be7+ gamma ray

r_li7_pa_he4
is
li7 + proton -> alpha +he4 (really just 2*he4)

r_c12_pg_n13
is
c12 + proton -> gamma ray + n13
