[mesa-users] Dependence of EOS on mixture

Hi Rich,

The EOS tables are for a specific abundance (that is, within Z). For some regions this doesn't matter (where SCVH is used), but in others it could (where OPAL and Helmholtz are used). I'm not aware of any MESA-specific tests of the composition dependence, though I believe there have been tests of this more generally.

In general I wouldn't expect too much variation in the EOS output so long as Z is fixed (this is why OPAL gets away with truncating the elements used in their EOS tables), but it should make a difference in the opacity calculations...
