[mesa-users] tracking C13

Hi MESA users

I want to see the variations of the CNO burning ratios on the surface. So I
need to get the carbon-13. I have included in the history_columns.list
surface c13, but it only records  zeros in the history.data file.

I have found that it is because the default nuclear network basic.net only
tracks 8 isotopes, So I have included the following lines to track another
ones

change_net = .true.
new_net_name = ’pp_and_cno_extras.net’


and with that I am getting non-zero values for c-13, but If I compare using
basic.net and pp_and_cno_extras.net at different points during the
evolution they differ. What is the difference between pp_and_cno_extras.net
and basic.net? is it not only that one tracks or not other isotopes?
