[mesa-users] MESA opacity tables

If its too complicated to get proper tables, why not just use electron
scattering opacity? There is the option use_simple_es_for_kap to do that in
MESA. Detailed opacities are of course a fundamental part of a stellar
code, but depending on what you want them to learn maybe that would be
enough (or preferable to spending weeks just to get that point right).
