Dear all,
I am trying a test with the artificially decreased diffusion coefficient. Although I know it is possible with the “mix_factor” in controls, I did not understand how this works.
Instead of “mix_factor”, I tried a test with the modified “mlt.f” in the directory mesa/mlt/private. In the case of 100 times decreased diffusion coefficient, I multiplied a factor of 1d-2 as below:
D = conv_vel*Lambda/3 *1d-2
However, the calculated evolution was not changed.
Thus, today I would like to ask (1) whether it is possible to artificially change the diffusion coefficient in the file “mlt.f" or not and (2) how “mix_factor” works.
I am using version 6596 and I attached my mlt.f. Rotation has not been considered in our calculation. Thanks in advance for your any help!
Sincerely,
Masanobu Kunitomo
