[mesa-users] 15Msun MESA explosion

Hi,

A quick check shows a problem in my somewhat-out-of-date inlist_adjust that converts from 204 isos to 22. But I do have an old saved model from when that inlist was working, so lets just skip ahead to inlist_remove_core using this starting model.

The remove-core inlist runs very quickly.

The energy deposition takes longer, but with the small net it isn't too long -- for me, it stops in a few minutes after 364 steps

The explosion run is of course the most time consuming. How long it takes depends on how far you want to follow the shock. Keep in mind that we are not yet prepared to deal with the complexities of surface shock break-out, so you'll need to stop before then.

Cheers,
Bill

Then there are a series of preparation inlists that remove the core and deposit energy to launch the explosive shock. See the inlists for section 6.2 figures.
