The Bloecker mass loss model is based on radiation-hydro simulations of Bowen and Wilson (1988), you would need to check the Bloecker paper from the early 1990's for the exact reference. That counts as a model for me. Whether it is the best we can do these days is maybe doubtful. Reimers indeed is mostly fitting to obs data, but does not apply to AGB stars.


In any case "scheme" is fine by me.

At low T the Mdot values are mostly derived from observations, with little or no physical modeling available. So "scheme" sounds better to me.
