[mesa-users] Problems with running pg_plot

Hello,

               I have a laptop and a desktop both running Mavericks 10.9.5. I have xcode11 version 6.1.1.
xquartz is installed version 2.7.7.

               I installed the latest version of mesasdk, and Mesa soft wear from your website.  The compilation
went without any error messages.

               I then copied $MESA_DIR/star/work to star subdirectory tutorial. After doing ./mk and ./rn I get following error.

PGPLOT /xw: cannot connect to X server [0]



 PGSTAR: failed to open /xwin


 please check that X Window System is running

 and that you have set the environment variables

 DISPLAY :0

 PGPLOT_DEV /xwin

 and also that you have set PGPLOT_DIR and PGPLOT_FONT



 TRho_Profile ierr          -1

 init_pgstar ierr          -1

 onScreen_Plots ierr          -1

 update_pgstar_plots ierr          -1

 after_step_loop ierr          -1

Adding pgstar_flag= .true. in the &star_job section did not work, as advised in FAQ

Looking at LOGS directory, the program crashed after the first step.

After modifying the in list_project &star_job section to set pgstar_flag = .false. made the program run to completion, but of course without plots displayed.

I then added all the environmental symbols mentioned also did not help.

Whether I run in regular terminal or xterm by quartz, the error message is same.

Both the laptop and Desktop (identical OSX version) have same problem.

I am attaching my .bashrc file for more information.

echo $PATH gives


/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/Applications/mesasdk/bin:/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin

Any suggestions ?
