one more thing --- as long as you are not using hydrodynamics, you can access these variables (I believe they are defined in star_data.inc back in the old days of 7385).
! gradients expected from structure equations
! to be compared to actual gradients in model
real(dp), pointer :: dL_dm_expected(:) ! expected difference across cell
real(dp), pointer :: dlnP_dm_expected(:) ! expected difference at outer boundary of cell
real(dp), pointer :: dlnT_dm_expected(:) ! expected difference at outer boundary of cell
