[mesa-users] use_other_mixing

As some of you may know I am in the midst of a challenge involving adapting
a badly documented model that was developed way back in version 3851. Among
the difficulties, besides including options that no longer exist and being
compiled in ifortran, is that I was not given enough source to rebuild it
at will and have had to basically get it running in the old version and
compare outputs and try and translate obsolete options to the new version.
I have progressed very well, thanks to the help of this list and some
specific people on it (you know who you are) and now have all the old
models runing. My latest difficulty involves how to adapt a use_other hook.
In previous versions it was referred to simply as "other_mixing". Now there
are two options "other_mlt" and "other_D_mix". Since D figures very heavily
in the other_mixing routine I am working with, I'm unsure which one is
appropriate to use now. Also, I'm not so strong in astrophysics (i'm
primarily a nuc-astro physicist).  Any input is appreciated. If you prefer
to direct me to a file where all these other_hooks are explained, I would
find that equally as valuable as a direct answer. Thanks!
