The School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University
invites applications for one Postdoctoral Researcher position. This
three year position can start as early as March 2015. This position is
funded by the NSF Physics Frontiers Center JINA-CEE; the Joint
Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics (JINA) - Center for the Evolution
of the Elements (CEE). The successful appointee will conduct research
in collaboration with Professor Frank Timmes and have opportunities to
engage in independent research.
Experience using the Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics
(MESA) software instrument is strongly preferred. Experience with the
following topics, broadly interpreted, is also preferred: nuclear
astrophysics, evolution of intermediate and/or massive stars,
nucleosynthesis of the first and early generations of stars, stellar
rotation and magnetic fields.
