Hi Bill,
Thank you very much for replying so quickly!
I understand the max timestep = 1d8 years cause the problem in version 6596. I also confirmed that Teff fluctuation disappeared with diffusion and setting max_years_for_timestep = 1d7. I will limit the timestep to 1d7 years in version 6596 with diffusion.
