[mesa-users] nuclear reaction rates - n14pg and 3a

Hi Jakub,

Don't guess what the rates are --- look in the mesa/data/rates_data files and find out!

Here's the place in star_job.defaults where you specify which JINA reaclib database file you want to use:


         !### jina_reaclib_filename
         ! Empty string means use current standard version.
         ! Else give name of file in directory `mesa/data/rates_data`,
         ! e.g., `jina_reaclib_results_20130213default2`
         ! (which is an 18.8 MB file of rates data).
         ! To use previous version, set to `jina_reaclib_results05301331`.
      jina_reaclib_filename = ''


In the old days we were using jina_reaclib_results05301331; 
now we use the more recent jina_reaclib_results_20130213default2.

Searching the current for n14pg says it is from "im05".
Searching the previous says the same.   So this reaction rate didn't change.

Similar searches for 3a both give "fy05" -- so this one didn't change either.

I changed the options for the inlist controls because for the jina rates,
we don't promise that you are getting Imbriani for n14pg or Fynbo for 3a.
We simply grab whatever is in the jina database file you have selected.
So it was misleading to have the control indicate a particular rate.

To make things more precise they became more confusing.  Typical.

I believe there may be even more recent versions of the jina database.
If so, we should do an update --- Ed Brown is the one to ask about this.
