Yup --- AOK.   

The motivation for the MANIFESTO is not make it harder for people to use MESA!

It is to encourage the widespread movement toward sharing open sources
and "open know how" so that we can go beyond reading papers 
and saying "Gee that's great, I wonder how they do that!" to being
able to redo and revise the computations for ourselves to build directly
on previous efforts as a community of scientists.  This wide sharing is a
new opportunity that only recently become possible with the internet.
In the old days (20 years ago), it would have been nearly impossible
to support widespread users working closely in this manner.  

I'm glad you and your students will be using MESA.
