Hi Tomer,

In my experience, speculation about what might be happening inside a complex system like mesa/star is a waste of time.   

You have to go look inside by doing the hard work of making plots, following the clues, and finding the problem in the code.

It is often (usually!) a coding problem or a numerical problem rather than anything to do with physics -- discussion of the physics is irrelevant in such cases.

If you are willing to do the digging, great!   Let us know what you find.

If not, you can send all of the necessary details to reproduce the problem and with luck someone else will do the hard work for you.
