Hi,

Two small changes in your inlist should make a big difference.

      newton_iterations_limit=10
      tol_max_correction = 1d-2

Dear Black-belt mesa users,

This is a good challenge for you.   Here are a couple of hints.

Use these to get an idea of timestep selection:

      report_why_dt_limits = .true.
      report_all_dt_limits = .true.
      report_hydro_dt_info = .true.

Use this to see why taking so many newton iterations:

      report_hydro_solver_progress = .true. ! set true to see info about newton iterations

Together these should lead you to try the changes I suggest above.
