[mesa-users] restart photos version error

As I wrote previously I am trying to update a model that was done on an old
version of mesa, somewhere around 3851 I think. I can't get that version to
compile but was able to install as far back as 4906. There were still some
file name and location differences which I was able to fudge by grepping
the error message and locating the file it was expecting, then copying it
to the folder expected, and a few other duct tape fixes. Now, however I am
getting the following error:

FAILURE: the restart data is from a previous version of the code and is no
longer usable

even though I made the photos just previously to running the ./re command,
and definitely with the same version of mesa.

Anyone have any idea why this could be?
