[mesa-users] Question about reactions in Approx22.net

Hi Manos,

I spent some time earlier this year trying different schemes for approximating the effects of weak reactions in a small net (under 50 isos), and in the end I decided I couldn't significantly improve on what we were already doing with the ni56 -> fe56 -> cr56 setup using a fake rate for fe56 to cr56 as described in star/defaults/controls.defaults

         ! the fake reaction for fe56 + 2e => cr56 is special.
         ! it is provided as a way to get enhanced neutonization during
         ! the creation of an iron core prior to core collapse.
         ! the rate for this reaction is the ni56 + 2e => fe56 rate
         ! multiplied by rate_factor_for_fe56ec_to_cr56
         rate_factor_for_fe56ec_to_cr56 = 1d-4

So the commented out reactions are a leftover from my explorations -- I'll delete them for the next release.
