Finally, similar to Type 2 opacities, does MESA eos tables take into

OPAL does not provide EOS tables corresponding to the Type2 opacities.
 They only provide Z=0, 0.02, 0.04 and those are for a scaled-solar
mixture.  However, Bill has put in the tables from Jim MacDonald that cover
higher Z values, including the case where the core is majority carbon and
oxygen.  In the case of core He-burning we should be well into the HELM EOS
regime (and maybe getting in Potehkin-Chabrier, see Figure 1 of MESA paper
1).  HELM is more flexible in terms of composition than the OPAL or SCVH
tables.
