[mesa-users] MESA SDK release 20130320

Dear MESA Users --

I'm pleased to announce a new release (version 20130320) of the MESA Software Development Kit. The principal change in this release is the upgrade of gfortran to version 4.8.0; this is necessary to support the GYRE oscillation code, which I'm planning to release next month. Packages for Linux (32- & 64-bit) and OS X (64-bit) can be grabbed from the usual SDK page:

Right now, there's no pressing need for anyone to upgrade to 20130320. If you *do* decide to upgrade, there's an important caveat. When compiling the latest public release of MESA (4798), you need to add the flags '-Wno-compare-reals -Wno-unused-parameter' to the FCwarn flag in mesa/utils/makefile_header. These flags will be added by default in an upcoming MESA release, but for now you need to edit makefile_header by hand.

If this caveat is utter gibberish to you, then I suggest you don't upgrade yet!
