Also you'll need to cd to the directory (/Users/pamrowden/Documents/mesa/teststar) then run ./mk as the mk script uses relative paths, otherwise the mk script will try to cd to a directory call make in your current working directory.

Have you installed the Xcode developer tools? These are needed to provide the 'make' program (and many other programs).
