Ok, so I was using the 64-bit version, but I switched to the newer sdk
(released April 8, 2013). It looks like my issue was due to the limits on
addressable memory, here is my output from 'ulimit -a':

[jbrooks at tscc-login1 ~]$ ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
scheduling priority (-e) 0
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
pending signals (-i) 515887
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) unlimited
max memory size (kbytes, -m) 4194304
open files (-n) 4096
pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
POSIX message queues (bytes, -q) 819200
real-time priority (-r) 0
stack size (kbytes, -s) unlimited
cpu time (seconds, -t) 10800
max user processes (-u) 1024
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) 4194304
file locks (-x) unlimited

So what I did was submit the installation script as a job in the queue,
rather than directly on the login node, and this seemed to work! Success!
Thanks for the help!
