[mesa-users] Comiling (error?)

There was a series of e-mails a month or two ago ("Error running ./mk in
version 4930") where we tried to work through the issues in even the
installation step on 32-bit Ubuntu, and I was not able to eliminate all of
them. It did lead me to try installing MESA on my 64-bit Linux Mint, which
was successful (which makes sense if it also works in 64-bit Ubuntu). If
using a 64-bit OS is not an option, we can certainly re-open that
investigation, but the underlying issue may not be trivial to find.
