[mesa-users] evolving higher mass (e..g. 3Msun) through agb to wd

Hi Dave,
I've also had good luck for higher-mass stars using the test_suite example. I was running it on an eight-core machine and each run would take ~ ten-twenty minutes to go from ZAMS to WD with the more extreme mass loss prescription used in make_co_wd. Let me know if you're having problems, as I've had to make a lot of WDs of various masses.

But, for higher-mass stars (e.g., 3-Msun), MESA cranks away for more than a week, doing hundreds of thermal pulses, and still hasn't gotten to a WD when I'm forced by frustration to hit ctrl-c. Is there something I could do differently to end up with a WD at the end of a high-mass-star run in a reasonable amount of time?
