[mesa-users] critical problem with history interval

Hi Jakub,

It's clear from the case with history_interval=1 that the evolution in the
H-R diagram is quite poorly resolved near the end of core H-burning.  This
should not be so.  The earlier example with the Warsaw code looks very
nicely resolved by comparison.

You'll need to experiment with the time step controls to find settings that
will give good time resolution as in the Warsaw example.  All the controls
(and more) that you'll need to accomplish this are provided in MESA,
they're just not be utilized in the inlist.  See the "controls for
timesteps" section of star/defaults/controls.defaults.  Especially dH_limit,
dH_div_H_limit, and also the options under the header  'limits based on
changes at photosphere.'
