Postdoctoral and PhD Positions in Stellar Physics

The Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) in Goettingen, Germany, invites applications for multiple postdoctoral and PhD positions in the framework of ERC Starting Grant StellarAges under PI Saskia Hekker within the Department "Solar and Stellar Interiors".  This project focuses on the determination of stellar ages by means of asteroseismology using CoRoT, Kepler, and APOGEE observations. Postdoctoral candidates with a background in observational asteroseismology, stellar modeling, or scientific computing are encouraged to apply. PhD scholarships are available in data analysis or modeling within the IMPRS graduate school at the MPS and the University of Goettingen.
