A follow-up to this item:

bug fix -- star failing to set some kap controls, so were using kap
> defaults instead of what selected in star. cubic_interpolation_in_X,

> kap_Type2_full_off_X, and kap_Type2_full_on_X. if you were not setting any
> of those, then you will not see a change. but if you were setting any, then

The above applies to parameters set in kap_lib, subroutine kap_set_choices.

This is not to say that these controls have *never* worked in the past.
 They did once, then they didn't, and now they do again.  Someone with a
burning desire to know, and a working knowledge of svn, could figure out
when they stopped working.
