Hi Tuguldur,
The email I got said "it had stripped the attachments". I guess the server
only sends them to the addressee, not the whole list (?).
Now I see what it was doing.
The alpha = 2 case is sane (as you know), but alpha = 1 is not. It has
spurious (nonphysical) mixing.
We have actually done the 3D hydro for C, Ne, O and Si shells (all together
in 2D) and C, Ne, and O in 3D,
so we do know which behavior is sane.
>From this I conclude that it is an algorithm problem; I will take this up
with Bill in May when I visit.
While I do not know yet exactly how the problem arose, I do know that
there are some general constraints that bound the flow behavior.
I suspect the algorithm violates one of these.
