[mesa-users] Very simple question re: installation on a Mac

Dear MESA Users

When trying to install MESA on my Mac (OS 10.5.8) the following message comes up in BASH:

Please set the environment variable OMP_NUM_THREADS.
>Suggested value is the number of cores on your machine.
>We need this in various test cases during installation.
>pam-rowdens-imac:mesa pamrowden$How do I set the environment variable? The number of cores is 2.

Also, what other questions am I likely to encounter during the installation process and what would be the appropriate responses?
