If I got your question right, you can always direct your terminal output
to a log file by e.g.
ehsan$ ./rn | tee log_file
in your star_job inlist, you can also include
save_model_when_terminate = .false.
save_model_filename = 'undefined'
to get the most model info at the last termination point.
