Hi Manos,
Search for "iron" in star/public/star_defaults.dek
Burning lifetimes in mesa are different than in KEPLER for unknown reasons (see Table 12 in mesa instrument paper).
However, note that the lifetimes for the other codes also show a lot of variation as do the core masses (again, see tables 12 & 13).
Someday somebody should figure out what's going on! Volunteers? ;-)
