[mesa-users] Convergence problems with test_suite/1M_pre_ms_to_wd

Hi Linda --

Have you tried setting the OMP_NUM_THREADS environment variable? Use

export OMP_NUM_THREADS=<n>

...where <n> is the number of processor cores on your machine (if you don't know this number, '1' will always work, albeit at a performance penalty).

cheers,

Rich

I haven't changed the input at all-- I'm just doing cd into the directory test_suite/1M_pre_ms_to_wd and then ./mk and ./rn. After many hours, the output says "stopping because of convergence problems -- too many backups." The code has stopped at profile 35990 (which corresponds to time 1.246e10 -- and there are many many profiles that are all at essentially this same exact time, presumably as it tries to converge there). It's also not showing me the PG plot as it goes along... Do you have any idea what's going wrong and how I can make it work?
