[mesa-users] Error in Vink wind formula

Dear Bill and MESA team,

 

I notice the usage of the Vink et al 2001 mass loss formula (winds.f) lacks
an additional dependence on metallicity, which should be added as follows:

 

-1.226d0*log10(2.6d0*(Z/Zsolar)**0.13d0/2.d0) for the hot side,

-1.601d0*log10(1.3d0*(Z/Zsolar)**0.13d0/2.d0) for the cool side

 

I corroborated this with Jorick Vink.
