[mesa-users] advice for massaging a model

Dear Musers,

I happened to add some carbon to the element mix and the  0.1 Mo star
promptly got stuck halfway down the Hayashi track due to a failure to
converge (other masses were fine). I therefore want to take that
failed model and massage or smooth or compress or something to get a
star that will make it to the main sequence.

My plea for advice is, since I don't know MESA very well, what are the
ways that people do tweak-and-restarts on their hard-to-converge
models? I'm sure this problem has come up for people a few tens of
thousands of times in the past.
