Dear MESA users,
Hello.
I have a question about the reliability
of a plot I made with MESA output. This corresponds to a model of ~19 Msun
evolved to blue supergiant phase.

In the attachment, there is a
plot of run of nuclear energy-related profiles. In the top panel, they are
nuclear energy generation rate, eps_nuc, neutrino energy loss,
gravitational energy (from contraction/expansion), and the net energy
released. In the bottom panel, there are two derivatives of eps_nuc with
respect to temperature and density:
eps_T = ( dln\eps / dlnT ),
eps_rho = ( dln\eps / dlnRho )

eps_T has a desired value of
11 to 14 in the Hydrogen burning shell. However, interior to this zone
where there is He burning in the core, and also exterior to this zone
where there is no burning in the envelope, eps_T takes large values.

I just like to know if what I find here is already stablished in
the literature.

Thanks for your concern.

Ehsan.
