Dear Jing,
Hi.
I recently managed to implement PGPLOT into my Ubuntu, and learned to do a
modification to have the xwindow appear.
Please, open the file ~/.xinitrc.template and at the end of the file add
the line:
exec PGPLOT
Then give it another try, and see if it works.
